Understanding Style DNA
How Style DNA captures your visual identity for consistent thumbnails
Style DNA is the AI's understanding of your visual style, extracted from your reference images. It ensures generated thumbnails match your brand.
What Style DNA Captures#
When you upload references, the AI analyzes:
Color Palette#
Your characteristic colors:
- Primary color: Your dominant brand color
- Secondary color: Supporting accent
- Background tones: Light, dark, or mixed
- Accent colors: Highlights and pops
Extracted as exact hex codes for consistency.
Composition Patterns#
How elements are typically arranged:
- Subject placement (center, rule of thirds, etc.)
- Text positioning (top, bottom, overlaid)
- Negative space usage
- Layering and depth
Typography Style#
Text characteristics:
- Bold vs. lightweight
- All caps vs. sentence case
- Font style (sans-serif, display, etc.)
- Text size relative to image
Visual Elements#
Recurring motifs:
- Faces and expressions
- Objects and props
- Graphics and overlays
- Borders and frames
Emotional Tone#
The feeling your thumbnails convey:
- Primary emotion (excitement, curiosity, trust, etc.)
- Secondary emotion
- Energy level (calm vs. energetic)
How Style DNA Is Created#
Initial Extraction#
When you first upload 5+ references:
- AI analyzes each image
- Identifies patterns across all references
- Builds a comprehensive style profile
- Assigns a confidence score (0-1)
Confidence Score#
Higher confidence = more consistent references:
| Score | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 0.8-1.0 | Very consistent style |
| 0.6-0.8 | Mostly consistent |
| 0.4-0.6 | Some variation |
| Below 0.4 | Very varied references |
Lower confidence isn't bad—it might mean you want flexibility.
Improving Your Style DNA#

Go from 5 to 10-15 references:
- AI finds stronger patterns
