Using Assets

Upload and manage headshots, logos, and products for consistent thumbnails

Assets are reusable elements—headshots, logos, products—that appear consistently in your thumbnails. Upload once, use in every generation.

Asset Types#

Headshot#

Your face or a person's face to feature:

  • Used when you appear in thumbnails
  • Preserves exact appearance
  • Essential for personal brands

Best practices:

  • High-resolution, well-lit photo
  • Neutral expression (AI will modify)
  • Clear background (or will be removed)
  • Recent photo that looks like you

Your channel logo or brand mark:

  • Placed consistently in thumbnails
  • Maintains brand recognition
  • Positioned appropriately (corner, etc.)

Best practices:

  • PNG with transparent background
  • High resolution (at least 500px)
  • Simple, recognizable design

Product#

Physical products you review or feature:

  • Shown prominently in thumbnails
  • Great for review channels
  • Maintains product accuracy

Best practices:

  • Clean product photography
  • White or transparent background
  • Multiple angles if needed

Background#

Scenes or backgrounds to use:

  • Sets the scene for thumbnails
  • Can be blurred or used as-is
  • Maintains location consistency

Best practices:

  • High resolution
  • Relevant to your content
  • Can be stylized

Uploading Assets#

  1. Go to your thumbnail project
  2. Click Assets
  3. Click Upload Asset
  4. Select the asset type
  5. Upload your image
  6. Add a name and description

Asset Descriptions#

Good descriptions help the AI use assets correctly:

For headshots:

"Craig's headshot - use for reaction thumbnails, can modify expression"

For logos:

"Channel logo - place in bottom right corner, keep small"

For products:

"Sony ZV-E10 camera - feature prominently in review thumbnails"

Using Assets in Generation#

When generating thumbnails:

  1. Select which assets to include
  2. Describe how they should appear
  3. AI incorporates them with your Style DNA

Example with Assets#

Without assets:

"Person reacting to camera, shocked expression"

With assets:

"Use my headshot with shocked expression, feature the Sony camera product, logo in corner"

The AI uses your uploaded headshot instead of generating a generic face.

Storage Limits#

Assets count toward your storage limit:

Managing Storage#

Check your usage:

  1. Go to SettingsUsage
  2. View storage breakdown

Free up space:

  • Primary headshot is used by default
  • Primary logo appears automatically
  • Speeds up generation workflow

Setting Primary Assets#

  1. Go to Assets in your project
  2. Click on an asset
  3. Toggle Set as Primary

Primary assets are used unless you specify otherwise.

Asset Organization#

Add tags to assets:

  • "headshot", "casual", "reaction"
  • "logo", "watermark", "corner"
  • "product", "camera", "review"

Archiving#

For assets you might need later:

  • Don't delete immediately
  • Move to an archive folder
  • Delete only when storage is tight

Asset Quality Tips#

Upload the highest resolution available:

  • AI can scale down
  • AI cannot improve low-res images
  • 2000×2000 pixels or higher ideal

Lighting#

For headshots and products:

  • Well-lit, even lighting
  • Minimal harsh shadows
  • Professional look

Background#

For easier integration:

  • Transparent backgrounds (PNG)
