Managing Your Subscription

Update payment methods, view invoices, and manage your Outlier subscription

Manage all aspects of your subscription through the billing portal, powered by Stripe.

Accessing the Billing Portal#

  1. Go to Settings in your dashboard
  2. Click Billing or Manage Subscription
  3. You'll be redirected to the Stripe customer portal

From here you can:

  • Update your payment method
  • View and download invoices
  • Change your plan
  • Update billing information
  • Cancel your subscription

Updating Your Payment Method#

  1. Open the billing portal
  2. Click Payment methods
  3. Add a new card or remove an old one
  4. Set your default payment method

Supported payment methods:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
  • Some regions support additional methods through Stripe

Viewing Invoices#

  1. Open the billing portal
  2. Click Billing history
  3. View all past invoices
  4. Click any invoice to download a PDF

Invoices include:

  • Plan name and billing period
  • Amount charged
  • Payment method used
  • Invoice number for expense reports

Updating Billing Information#

To update your billing address or company name:

  1. Open the billing portal
  2. Click Billing information
  3. Update your details
  4. Save changes

This information appears on your invoices.

Canceling Your Subscription#

  1. Open the billing portal
  2. Click Cancel plan
  3. Confirm cancellation

What happens when you cancel:

  • You keep access until the end of your current billing period
  • After that, your account reverts to the Free plan
  • All your data remains intact (bookmarks, videos, etc.)
  • You can resubscribe anytime

Your data is never deleted. Even on the Free plan, your bookmarks, pipeline videos, and generated content remain accessible (within free tier limits).

Failed Payments#

If a payment fails:

  1. You'll receive an email notification
  2. Stripe will retry the payment automatically
  3. You have a grace period to update your payment method
  4. After the grace period, your account reverts to Free

To avoid interruption, ensure your payment method is up to date.
