Managing Your Subscription
Update payment methods, view invoices, and manage your Outlier subscription
Manage all aspects of your subscription through the billing portal, powered by Stripe.
Accessing the Billing Portal#
- Go to Settings in your dashboard
- Click Billing or Manage Subscription
- You'll be redirected to the Stripe customer portal
From here you can:
- Update your payment method
- View and download invoices
- Change your plan
- Update billing information
- Cancel your subscription
Updating Your Payment Method#
- Open the billing portal
- Click Payment methods
- Add a new card or remove an old one
- Set your default payment method
Supported payment methods:
- Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
- Some regions support additional methods through Stripe
Viewing Invoices#
- Open the billing portal
- Click Billing history
- View all past invoices
- Click any invoice to download a PDF
Invoices include:
- Plan name and billing period
- Amount charged
- Payment method used
- Invoice number for expense reports
Updating Billing Information#
To update your billing address or company name:
- Open the billing portal
- Click Billing information
- Update your details
- Save changes
This information appears on your invoices.
Canceling Your Subscription#
- Open the billing portal
- Click Cancel plan
- Confirm cancellation
What happens when you cancel:
- You keep access until the end of your current billing period
- After that, your account reverts to the Free plan
- All your data remains intact (bookmarks, videos, etc.)
- You can resubscribe anytime
Your data is never deleted. Even on the Free plan, your bookmarks, pipeline videos, and generated content remain accessible (within free tier limits).
Failed Payments#
If a payment fails:
- You'll receive an email notification
- Stripe will retry the payment automatically
- You have a grace period to update your payment method
- After the grace period, your account reverts to Free
To avoid interruption, ensure your payment method is up to date.
